NYC FurMeets takes to the Bronx for Pride!

NYCFM was invited to the 8th Annual Bronx LGBT Expo for a special appearance in a panel discussion about the furry community, in which we have been asked to educate our audience on the fandom. Some questions include:

• Many people in the furry community identify as LGBTQ+. Why do you think there is such a strong overlap?
• How do you respond when someone makes assumptions about the furry community?
• What is something you wish everyone in this room knew about furries before they leave today?

The organizer at the expo has encouraged us to show up with our suits and share with attendees what our community is all about. The event will feature:

• Drag performances

• Vendors

• Table-sitting/community resources
