NYC FurBar celebrates one year <3

Hello NYC FurMeets! We hope you enjoyed April's FurBar at All Night Skate because we have more fun in store as our FurBar number finally hits double digits! 1️⃣0️⃣

This May, NYC FurBar is revisiting the very first location this event was held at Mama Tried, just a short walk away from Industry City in Brooklyn! This bar is all about providing a simple, unobstructed good time. As their website states:

Mama Tried is a nice place to have a good time.

We have beers & shots, & a couple real good cocktails.

Food's good too (if you like food)

Brief History Lesson

On May 6, 2025, Zane wrote about the following event concept:

Hello NYC FurWalk crew! A couple of months ago I floated the idea of running some sort of regularly scheduled bar meet where we would explore one or two different bars across NYC, with the locations changing for each meet. This idea is currently in the most primitive of planning stages, but I am now opening this topic for discussion for what this spinoff event could look like 👀

For obvious reasons we expect people who participate to be 21+

Maru, with all his knowledge of some of the best drinking spots in NYC joined our team to head up this event, making FurBar a great monthly meet for chill vibes, socializing, and enjoying some time with the fellow furs of this great city <3

Partial suiting is allowed and encouraged. We will try to set up a table for storage. There will be food and drink around as well as other bar patrons so please be careful with your suit if you bring it. NYCFM does not assume responsibility for your belongings.

There is no charge for this event, but please buy a drink or a snack to support the venue and tip your bartenders well.
