NYC FurWalk takes on the beach at Coney Island!
Starting at Asser Levy Park (nearest to Ocean Pkwy Q Station), our crew will walk onto Riegelmann Boardwalk westward towards the heart of Coney Island (the Beach, Luna Park, Wonder Wheel, Steeplechase Pier), from which we will establish a spot for us on the beach to plant ourselves and our stuff before splitting off to enjoy all the activities around us! This FurWalk places less emphasis on the walking and more emphasis on summer fun at Coney Island, so be sure to join us for all things furry fun under the sun!
Special note, this event also happens to coincide with ZANE'S BIRTHDAY!!! <3
LET'S PARTY!
Rough Schedule:
- Check-in will open at 11am
- Step-off towards the beach will start at 12pm
- We will take a group photo around the beach
- Attendees will be free to enjoy the attractions around Coney Island, up until our official end around 4pm. People are welcome to stick around longer if they wish :>
Supplies
We kindly ask people to help out the beach portion of the event by bringing towels, umbrellas, sunscreen, and other things to help make our experience on the beach as enjoyable as possible!
Badges
- Deadline for badge printing is Wednesday, July 23rd at 11:59pm
- We highly encourage donations to help cover badge printing supplies
Safety Considerations
It will be HOT at Coney Island. Average temperatures around this time hover around the mid to high 80s. Please stay hydrated, cool, and protected from the sun. We will try our best to supply cold water and other necessary safety items.
