Welcome To TF2 Game Night
Host: Pank (*Pänkmann)
After our successful pilot event a couple of months ago and due to popular demand I'm hosting a much more BIGGER and JAM PACKED event for Team Fortress 2. This time around we will be running on an event schedule.
30 minutes of casual fun giving people time to join before the main event start
The Warioware gamemode is inspired by the fast-paced, mini-game style of the WarioWare series, where players are tasked with completing quick and often bizarre challenges within a very short time frame. In this custom mod, the gameplay revolves around rapid-fire, random mini-games that require quick reflexes and adaptability.
The Deathrun gamemode is a popular custom mod where players are split into two teams: runners and traps.
Runners: Players on this team are tasked with running through an obstacle course filled with traps. Their goal is to make it to the end of the course without getting killed by the traps. They are usually playing as a standard TF2 class, like Scout or Soldier, and need to navigate through the course while avoiding hazards. Runners generally have no offensive capabilities, and their success depends on timing, quick reflexes, and sometimes cooperation with other runners.
Traps: Players on this team control various traps scattered throughout the map. The traps are typically activated by the players in this team, and they aim to eliminate the runners as they try to advance. These traps can include things like spikes, crushing walls, flamethrowers, falling platforms, and other deadly hazards. Traps often require good timing to activate at the right moment to catch the runners off guard.
The Balloon Race gamemode is a fun, casual mode where players compete to pop balloons by using their various character abilities. The primary objective of the game is to pop as many balloons as possible within a given timeframe or until the map’s objective is completed.
Here are the key elements of the Balloon Race gamemode:
Balloon Objectives: Balloons are scattered around the map, and players must find and pop them. Popping a balloon rewards players with points or other in-game rewards.
Team-based Competition: Teams compete against each other to pop balloons. Players can choose any class, but some classes may have abilities that help them reach or pop balloons faster.
Popping Mechanism: Balloons are often placed in high or tricky spots, requiring players to use their movement and combat abilities effectively to get to and pop them.
Teamwork and Strategy: While it's a race to pop the balloons, teamwork and coordination can help, as some classes may be better at certain tasks (e.g., mobility classes like Scout can get to balloons quickly).
Time or Balloon Count Limits: The game typically runs on a timer or a specific balloon-popping goal. The team that pops the most balloons or completes their objective first wins.
The Jailbreak game mode is a custom, community-made mode that brings a unique twist to the standard gameplay. The premise revolves around a prison-like setting where players are divided into two main groups: guards and prisoners.
Prisoners: The majority of players are assigned to be prisoners, who are typically in a confined area (the "prison"). They are forced to obey the commands of the guards, who try to maintain order. Prisoners can attempt to escape or disobey the guards, which might lead to their elimination.
Guards: A smaller group of players assumes the role of guards. Guards are responsible for managing the prisoners and keeping them in line. They can give commands (like moving to certain locations), and they have the power to punish prisoners who break the rules, often by eliminating them.
Gameplay Objectives:
Rules: The rules are flexible depending on the server, but there’s typically an emphasis on some sort of order. Guards often give the prisoners tasks, like “Go to the yard” or “Stand in line.” If prisoners don't obey, they could be punished by the guards. This punishment often comes in the form of death or being put in solitary confinement.
Escape and Rebellion: If prisoners are successful in rebelling (for instance, by secretly picking up weapons or organizing an escape), the game can shift from structured control to chaotic combat. This aspect can lead to an intense and unpredictable round if the prisoners manage to take control.
Victory Conditions: The game ends when all the guards or prisoners are eliminated, or the prisoners manage to escape. The game typically features rounds where teams switch roles between prisoners and guards.
Wave 666 is an infamous unofficial custom wave in Team Fortress 2's Mann vs. Machine mode. It is known for its extreme difficulty and chaotic gameplay. Unlike standard MvM waves, which usually consist of a set number of robot waves, Wave 666 is a single, continuous wave that throws an overwhelming number of robots at players, testing their endurance and teamwork. This gamemode will be customized to allow more then the limit of 6 players
