Furries at Prospect Park!

NYC FurWalk is back at the park, this time at the OTHER Grand Army Plaza to start (yes, the one in Brooklyn and arguably the better one). If you’re looking for some furry weekend summer fun before Furrydelphia and Megaplex, this is the event for you! This walk will take us through the wonderful sights of Prospect Park, with a route starting from the northern end of the park, travelling down to see locations such as:

• Vale of Cashmere

• Boulder Bridge

• Prospect Park Waterfall

• Smorgasburg

• Prospect Park Lake

During the walk, we will also be visiting Smorgasburg, described as “one of the largest weekly open air food markets in America,” as an option for lots of food, drink, and great summer vibes! As a bonus, we already reached out to the group behind Smorgasburg, and they said they will warmly welcome their furry friends <3. Info on Smorgasburg here

Rough Schedule:

• Check-in will open at 11am
• Step-off into the park will start at 12pm
• We will take a group photo at designated locations on map
• Ample time for break will be given for breaks at each stop, around 15-20 minutes
• Walk is schedued to end around 4pm, but subject to vary +/- 30 mins.

Supplies

Participants are highly encouraged to bring whatever they need to keep themselves safe and cool as this is an outdoor event! Recommended supplies include:

• Water
• Fursuit Fan
• Sunscreen
• Insect Repellant
• A light snack

We will provide some of these in a cart that follows the group, but supplies will be limited.

Badges

• Deadline for badge printing is Wednesday, August 13th at 11:59pm
• We highly encourage donations to help cover badge printing supplies ($5-10)
