What is Fuwa Furry Fest?
Fuwa Furry Fest is NYC’s first furry mini-convention, centered inside the vibrant Japan Village — a scenic Japanese hypermarket perfect for celebrating kemono and anthropomorphic art and costuming. It's a day to celebrate fans, creators and furry enthusiasts for a playful, community-first experience. The culture of the furry fandom will blend with Japanese pop culture for the night!
This is a public area, but your attendee registration will grant you access to participate in the board game area, and general hangout space.
Expect lively fursuit parades, casual board-game meetups, a small vendor spot full of furry merch, and dedicated photo lounges where you can capture your best looks. Throughout the day we’ll host informal meetups, show & tell moments for kemono-style costume makers, and plenty of open spaces to socialize, trade, and unwind. Japan Village’s restaurants, izakaya-style counters, and grocery stalls give attendees the perfect reason to linger — grab a bite, shop for snacks, and soak in the atmosphere.
Fuwa Furry Fest is designed as an inclusive, welcoming mini-con for both longtime fans and newcomers who love kemono aesthetics and furry costuming. Whether you’re here for the parade, the artists, or just to enjoy the food and vibes, come ready to celebrate, connect, and be seen.
Please be aware this is our very first time making an event of this scale; we can't make it the best experience ever, but we're gonna try our best. ^_^ This is a general test run for benefits, logistics and more.

New York Furs and its associates, contributors, staff, and members are not responsible for any injuries, damages or losses at this event.

Full face coverings will not be permitted in high-traffic indoor areas, including grocery aisles, food court seating, and any enclosed business areas.

Open-air and well-surveilled locations—such as the courtyard or second-floor balcony areas are reserved for fursuiting areas.
- Please do not suit near the restaurants, supermarket, or stores; the venue has made it very clear that they would like full face coverings to remain outside of their businesses. The Loft on the 2nd floor, courtyard and outside area permit fursuiting.
